Erik Kessels is also a curator than a photographer like Doug Rickard. For an installation he found and printed every single photo uploaded on to Flickr in a 24 hour period and piled them in the installation room where there turned out to be 1 million photos. This installation was to show how we are bombarded with images from everywhere on the internet and to actually show how many photos get uploaded in a single day/24 hours and they were free for people to look at and take.
This was a young boy sitting an enjoying a photograph he found amongst the 1 million photographs.
There are more than 6 billion photos on Flickr at the moment, and to make matters even more incredible, that exact same number of photos are uploaded to Facebook every two months.
